Burgos (Spain), 17 January 2020.- ASTI Mobile Robotics joins the United Nations Global Compact as a strong commitment to sustainability, taking a further step in its goal of growing in a responsible and sustainable way. The Mobile Robotics Engineering has joined as a ‘Signatory Member’ to the Spanish Network of the Global Compact, what implies a greater involvement and commitment in the advance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Spain.

Signing the Global Compact implies that ASTI Mobile Robotics commits to align its operations with Ten universally accepted Principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environment and anti- corruption, and taking action in support of the goals of the United Nations stablished, as currently embodied in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The responsible of Excellence of the company, Marta Sanz, pointed that ASTI “is committed to incorporate environmental, social and economic sustainability in all our value chain, because for us the common welfare is essential with our corporate strategy and since this is the decade of the action, we try to put into practice on a day-to-day life of the organization”. Therefore, this adhesion “reaffirms our commitment, which we started with a Corporate Social Responsibility Master Plan for the next three years”.

In this way, ASTI Mobile Robotics joins a worldwide network of companies and commits to carry out responsible business actions to create a better world for the next generations. Launched in 2000, the United Nations Global Compact is the greatest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with member entities in more than 160 countries and over 70 local networks.
