ASTI Mobile Robotics CEO, Verónica Pascual Boé, received the Rei Jaime I 2020 Entrepreneur’s Award from HRH Queen Letizia on November 30th. La Lonja de Valencia hosted the ceremony, presenting this year’s awards to Francisco José García Vidal, Diego Puga Pequeño, Miguel Beato del Rosal, Fernando Maestre Gil, Laura M. Lechuga Gómez, and Verónica Pascual.

Pascual had the honour of giving a thank you speech on behalf of all the award winners and stressed that, in the midst of a global pandemic, "this is a time for generosity" and "foresight", and a time to “focus on, and make a commitment to, the best talent" and to the education of generations to come. The ASTI CEO emphasised that we’re living in an era of exponential technological change, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence, calling it "the era of the fourth industrial revolution, with all the social inequalities that these processes of change always cause, and even more so in the face of the current difficulties with COVID-19". She explained that she is counting on "generosity", a collaboration between public and private companies, and on new advances in science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, without forgetting the importance of "ethics".

ASTI's CEO pointed out that the award received is "an incentive" to intensify efforts and to "help to cultivate the legacy" that we have to pass on to the new generations, at the same time praising "all the strengths and virtues that make us stand out as a nation of great entrepreneurs". "We have the talent to make the impossible possible. We have energy and great creativity, we’re passionate about everything we do, and we have talent with a capital 'T'," stressed Veronica, who quoted from Peter Drucker by saying that "the best way to predict the future is to create it.

HRH Queen Letizia presided over the award ceremony, accompanied by the President of the Valencian Government, Ximo Puig; the Transport Minister, José Luis Ábalos; the Mayor of Valencia, Joan Ribó; and the President of the Valencian Foundation for Advanced Studies, Vicente Boluda.
